Florence is an Italian city on the Arno River, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy and the center of Italian culture. In the past, it was the center of the Florentine Republic, the capital of the Medici Dukes and the Italian Kingdom, now it is the administrative center of the Tuscany region, a city of arts, the capital of the Italian Renaissance. The city gave the world such giants as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Donatello, Niccolo Machiavelli, Dante and Galileo. Florence has more unique works of art than any other city in the world.

A walking tour lasting 2.5-3 hours starts from the National Library and will pass through the entire historical center of the city. Our route will pass through Santa Croce Square, where historical Florentine football matches are held every year, and more than 300 famous Florentines ended their lives in the cathedral, including Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Niccolo Machiavelli and many others. We will see the palaces of the Florentine nobility and typical tower houses of the early Middle Ages, Dante’s house-museum and the beautiful squares of the Duomo with its famous Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori and the baptistery. And also Piazza della Signoria with the Old Palace, the Arnolfo Tower, the Fountain of Neptune and numerous Renaissance statues, we will walk through the Uffizi Gallery and cross the Arno River through the Old Bridge, with numerous jewelry shops, make a wish and rub the nose of the bronze Boar – one of the symbols of the power and strength of Florence. At the end of the tour, you will have 2-3 hours of free time, you can try the famous Florentine steak, buy souvenirs, visit one of the famous museums or palaces. Before leaving home, we will go up by car to the observation deck, from which all of Florence will appear before us from a bird’s eye view.
